Lost and Missing cattle troughs

On 3 January 1910 two 6ft 6in troughs [1815] were erected in Queens Circus, Battersea by Prince of Wales Road. These troughs were removed in 1951 during road alterations.

In April 1875 a 9ft 6in trough [0536] was erected in Stewarts Lane (Battersea Park Road) near York Road station. The gift of Mrs. Davies. This trough was removed in 1937 during road alterations.

In June 1876 a 9ft 6in trough [0564] was erected in Nightingale Lane near Wandsworth Common. This trough was removed in 1936 during road alterations.

In August 1882 a 9ft 6in trough [0857] was erected at the junction of Lavender Hill & St. Johns Hill. The gift of Mr. John Noble.

In April 1889 a 9ft 6in trough [1207] was erected at the junction of the southern side of Summerstown with the western side of Garratt Lane.

In March 1879 a 9ft 6in trough [0729] was erected on Leigham Court Road near Streatham Common. The gift of Mrs. Girdin. This trough was destroyed by enemy action in 1941.

On 21 December 1942 a 9ft 6in trough [2862] was erected in Leigham Court Road, replacing trough [0729]

In April 1887 an 18ft trough [1133] was erected on Putney Heath near the Green Man pub. It was the gift of Miss E Gotobed.
