Lost and Missing cattle troughs

In January 1903 a 9ft 6in trough [1555] was erected in Lichfield Road, Aston Manor. Presented by J.H.Buxton Esq. Inscription “J.H.Buxton 1903”.

In 1875 a combined fountain, two cattle troughs and two dog troughs (design 16) [0940] were erected in Bradford Hall. Erected by Mrs. Rigland.

In September 1902 a trough [1544] was erected in Birmingham at the junction of Junction Great Barr Street and Watery Lane.

A 6ft 6in trough was erected somewhere in Hansworth.

In March 1902 a 6ft 6in trough [1524] was erected in Walsall. Part association & part RSPCA Walsall.

On 17 December 1937 a 6ft 6in trough [2760] was erected in Wolverhampton, Bilston Street Market.

There may have been a trough in Birmingham at the junction of Icknield Street & New Spring Street.

There may have been a trough in Birmingham outside the Greenway pub at the corner of Cattell Road & Coventry Road. This is almost certainly now at Sarehole Mill.
