MDFCTA number | 1637 (tentative) |
Type and size | Trough 1c 9ft 6in (sic) granite |
Original location | Wiltshire. Marlborough |
Date erected | July 1904 |
Comments | Originally in the High Street near the old pump. Erected by public subscription & a grant by the MDF&CTA. This trough was measured as 9ft 6in. Although the MDFCTA records describe this trough as 6ft 6in it is unlikely that two different troughs were erected in Marlborough in 1904. |
Location-2 | The dog trough is resting against a war memorial on the south-east corner of London Road and Salisbury Road. |
