Comments | The date this trough was erected in Heybridge (1937) hopelessly disagrees with the year of the inscription on the back of the trough (1909). This trough must have been moved from elsewhere. The "best match" is MDFCTA structure [2130]. This trough was erected in Bayswater Road near Queens Road on 28 October 1920 under the will of the late Miss L.E.L.Thomas from the legacy of £350 for that purpose. It is described as "removed" in April 1936. My conjecture is that it was moved to Heybridge between 1937 & 1937. Can anyone confirm that? |
