Original locationRickmansworth. Uxbridge Road

CommentsFountain cattle and dog trough 6ft 6in No 1d (some MDFCTA records wrongly describe this trough as 9ft 6in). See also Croxley Green. Main Road Ricksmanworth. Erected by Public subscription per Mrs Ibbotson £97.0.0. Two troughs appear to have the same MDFCTA number [1439]. From a photograph in “Rickmansworth – A Pictorial History”: The trough at the corner of Ebury Road and Uxbridge Road c1880 was moved to Woodoak Farm during the construction of a new roundabout in the 1960s’. The fountain head is missing. It looks like this trough and the trough at Croxley Green are a "matching pair".
