CommentsUnder the original fountains there appears to be the remnants of the base for a "modern" type-156 fountain. On 18th September 1936 MDFCTA fountain [2711] was erected in Fitzjohns Avenue. It was paid for by the Hampstead Borough Council. There was an inscription "This present fountain is given to the Borough of Hampstead by Simon Wimbourne Esq.".
